Single Stage Correction Detail
I was contacted by this client with a view to preparing and protecting his Vantage before the Mod Ball Rally. He was concerned about the car picking up lots of stone chips and the hardship the bodywork may face covering all those miles. After some discussion it was agreed the car would receive my Single Stage Correction Detail with front end PPF and coatings
This Detail was completed onsite where the PPF was fitted as it was easier for the client. The intial decontamination stages were completed outside including full clay bar and TFR application to strip all bonded contaminants prior to commencing any machine polishing.
The car was then moved inside ready for paintwork inspection, depth readings and taping up to protect plastics and rubbers from polishing oils. Grey is always a very forgiving colour however on some occasions it requires greater focus as you have to look harder for the deeper defects. Working my way around the car Real Deep scratches were improved while marring and swirls where completely removed to reveal the metallic flake and restore a sharp gloss
Once the polishing was complete and following a full IPA wipe down I moved onto coatings. Opting for my total surface protection package this car received application of coatings to paint glass and wheels avoiding the front end as PPF was to be installed. While the PPF was installed I dealt with the interior, engine bay and all of the final touches before leaving the car for a day for the PPF to be completed. As the paint protection film applied was self healing no coatings could be applied to the film so a layer of swissvax best of show was applied to the film which will be topped up bi-annually.
