BMW X5M

New Car Detail

After having near enough every top of the range BMW you can think of this client decided it was time to invest in some proper protection and wanted someone to care for his next investment afterwards.  Due to the logistics and turnaround timescales on this occasion I agreed to complete the work onsite at the dealership. Not something I often agree too given that I now have the unit but in certain circumstances I'm happy to.

The dealer were instructed to do as little as possible and leave behind any tape or film that they didn't need to remove. The initial decontamination process saw removal of all the protective films and foams from the exterior followed by a fully inspection prior to commencing any work. All okay I proceeded to spend the next three to four hours deep cleaning and decontaminating to remove all the dust and grime collected during transportation. Once decontaminated and dry the car was moved inside for full paint inspection ahead of a single stage machine polish. As expected there were multiple factory defects present, buffer trails, light sanding marks and light swirling. All defects were safely removed via a single stage machine polish before full wipe down in preparation for Ceramic coatings. Two layers of Gtechniq Ceramic coatings were appliedl providing the bodywork with three years garanteed protection. Coatings were then applied to the glass, leather and wheels providing this stunnign X5M with the best possible start in life.

All defects removed and all surfaces coated it was time for the finishing touches. Tyres dressed, engine bay dressed and exhausts polished she was ready for the road. The client was over the moon and yet another car added to my maintenance plan...
