New Car Protection Detail
One of the great things about being a detailer is when you get to enjoy the clients excitement about the arrival of a new addition or toy. I knew about this booking months before the car had been ordered and it was clear from th start the client wanted the best possible automotive care for the new arrival. The dealer despite their bemusement about it all were under strict instructions not to touch the car, not to even breathe on it! Originally expected to arrive late 2016 the car eventually arrived with me the first week in March and was the first 17 plate I got my hands on. Not a bad start!
Onto the car, it arrived covered in dust from transportation just as we asked. It also had signs of use as the owner asked to take the car for a drive before dropping it to me, how could I refuse?! So after spending several hours decontaminating and removing all the transportation dirt and fallout the car was moved inside and prepared for polishing. Despite the paint code actually being black it's clear the car was a very light shade of black very nearly grey which I was pleased to see given that I'd be maintaining it for the forseeable! The car received a single stage machine polish removing small buffer trails, light marring and overspray before then being wiped down and prepared for ceramic coatings. All new car details receive my total surface protection package as standard applying ceramic coatings to the paint, glass, and wheels. Leather guard is applied to the leather upholstery and fabric repellent to the matts. The final touches where then applied, engine bay and tires dressed before final checks and handover to a client who couldn't wait to get their hands on the new toy! Another new car on the books to receive my regular maintenance package. I'll let the pictures do the talking...
