Nissan GTR

Enhancement Detail

The Nissan GTR the new age sky line has a reputation for having incredibly soft paint! So prepared for the challenge ahead. Decontamination involved heavily degreasing the engine bay and door shuts as white cars really show the build up of grime and dirt, after spending the whole morning deep cleaning and decontaminating the car moved inside to go under the knife. Much to my surprise the paint was rock hard! Whilst detailing the engine bay I did notice a sticker claiming the paint had Ceramic Clear coat which is a common occurrence these days but not on Japanese cars! To be honest I would much rather work with hard paint, with the right products it can be just as straight forward as any other detail, much better than super soft paint! After a single stage machine polish 90% of swirls and light defects were removed and heavy staining to the rear bumper from exhaust fumes. The client also chose my Total Surface Protection package offering a minimum of three years protection via ceramic coatings. Two layers of Gyeon MOHS applied to the paint, Gyeon Rim applied to the wheels and Gyeon View applied to the glass. Unfortunately due to the short winter days there was a definite lack of light when taking the final photos but rest assured the client was over the moon with the finished product and walked away with a hamper of products to maintain it and a grin from ear to ear.
