New Car Protection Detail
This stunning little italian pocket rocket was booked in shortly after its new owner ordered it. The owner understood that the dealerships offer of "new car preparation" simply wouldn't be up to the standard and knew that it was highly likely the car would arrive with defects. As such a two day slot was reserved in order to give this awesome little car the best possible start in life.
Due to availability i couldn't get the car in the day it arrived, the owner instructed the dealership strictly not to touch the car, just take the wrap off and he will drive it away. The car was driven for a few days so arrived with the expected light layer of road grime and brake dust. First things first the number plates were removed. I began the decontamination stages with the wheels, CarPro Iron X removing all iron fallout followed by Autosmart Tardis. Wheels were then deep cleaned and Arches degreased and cleaned with APC. Once the wheels and arches where clean, I moved onto the exterior using Auto Finesse Avalanche snow foam to drag all the dirt sitting on the surface of the paint off. Once snow foamed, I moved onto the wash and decontamination stage. Washed with two buckets, The paint then had Car Pro Iron X applied followed by Auto finesse tardis and Finally clayed to ensure all contamination was removed.
Dried and Taped up the car was moved inside and inspected for defects. An appealing amount of marring and swirling was found throughout the car. With fairly average paint readings I opted for Rupes UHS to Correct and Refine the paintwork in one stage removing all defects prior to any protection. Several passes later I completed the final wipe down in preparation for coatings. The owner selected Carbon Collective Oracle which offers super Hydrophobic properties along with UV protection, the perfect choice for this car. I applied two coats of Oracle to paint and trim to ensure that no surface was left unprotected. Carbon Collective Platinum Glass was then applied to all exterior glass and Platinum wheels to the alloys. For the final touches oracle was applied to engine bay plastics and Platinum wheels applied to the exhaust tips ensuring every surface was protected.
All the other finishing touches complete this little pocket rocket was now ready for its new owner exactly how it should have left the factory in Italy!
