The first question almost every client asks us is what a ceramic coating costs. It is a fair question, and the honest answer is that there is no single figure. Two identical cars can carry very different price tags depending on what the paintwork needs before a single drop of coating goes on. Below we have set out exactly what shapes the number so you know what you are paying for.

What Drives the Price of a Ceramic Coating
Several things influence your final quote:
- The condition of your paintwork. A brand new car needs far less work than a three year old daily driver covered in swirl marks. Correction is charged separately from the coating itself.
- The size and shape of your vehicle. A large SUV takes considerably longer to polish and coat than a compact hatchback, and awkward panels add hours.
- The coating you choose. We are certified Modesta installers and also work with Titan. Different products carry different durability, gloss characteristics and price points.
- How many surfaces you want protected. Paintwork is the starting point. Wheels, glass, leather, fabric and exterior trim can all be coated as well.
- The level of correction required. Our detailing packages start from £300 plus VAT for a Mini Detail, £750 plus VAT for an Enhancement Detail and £995 plus VAT for a full Paint Correction Detail. The coating application is quoted on top of these.

Why Preparation Costs More Than the Coating
This is the part the industry rarely talks about. A ceramic coating locks in whatever is underneath it. Apply one over swirled, marred paint and you have simply sealed those defects in place for the next few years.
Most of the time and cost in any coating job sits in the preparation. Decontamination, clay bar work, machine polishing across multiple stages, panel wipe downs and inspection under our custom built lighting all happen before the coating goes near the car. That is where the transformation comes from, and it is why a cheap coating quote is usually a warning sign rather than a bargain.
What Your Investment Actually Buys
A properly applied coating gives you years of protection rather than months. You get genuine UV resistance, real hydrophobic behaviour that makes washing quicker and safer, resistance to chemical etching from bird lime and fallout, and a depth of gloss that holds up long after a wax would have failed.
There is also the resale side of things. Paintwork that has been protected and maintained properly holds its condition, and that shows when the time comes to sell or trade in.
Every client also leaves with proper aftercare guidance from us. We would rather spend twenty minutes explaining how to look after your coating than have you undo our work at the local jet wash.
